This is the fiction journal for Shade Embry. A variety of challenge responses, standalone fics, and novellas will be posted here. The ratings will range from G-R, usually in the PG-PG-13 range. All entries are clearly marked with ratings and spoiler and/or content warnings. Read at your own risk. I write only general and hetero fic; I am not a slasher.
The three primary fandoms I write for are the TV series 24, House and Ultraviolet. I've also written fanfic for other series, like The X-Files, Sports Night, The West Wing, S.W.A.T., Dragnet/L.A. Dragnet, Buffy The Vampire Slayer/Angel, Homicide: Life on the Street, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Waking The Dead, Trust, Touching Evil, Prime Suspect and Spooks/MI-5.
I don't have any really strong 'shipper views. In my two primary fandoms, House and 24, I'm strictly noromo (or, Jack/Teri Bauer was my OTP). I have some minor 'ships in old fandoms (Tom/Ellie from Spooks, for example). More often, there are RP-based OTPs (House/Brittany, Brittany/Jake). I will warn that there are some characters and pairings I dislike, which I tend to ignore or maul (i.e. there is no House/Stacy here). But mostly what you'll find here will be a collection of whatever's on my mind.
The guy in the picture above is Desmond Harrington, AKA my muse of choice.
